Hi, I'm Syed. Engineer → to Product
Good products just feel right.
I’m drawn to the intersection of business, technology, and human behavior. I like understanding the problem, finding the opportunity, and shaping products around the people who use them.
02Background
A technical foundation. A growing focus on product.
- 2+ years
- Building software and working close to production systems.
- HPE
- Enterprise infrastructure for 100+ customers across finance, aerospace, telecom and technology.
- Actuals.ai
- Employee #3 at a Forbes India Top 100 startup. Built client data pipelines, RPA bots and LLM usage analytics.
03Selected work
A few things I've worked on.
A UX teardown, a PRD, a growth problem and more.
04Toolkit
What I build with.
Mostly for prototyping and automating the boring parts. Jack of all tools, master of none, but I know what to reach for.
Hover over a tool to see what I use it for.
05How I think
Good product decisions aren't always obvious.
A few trade-offs I've worked through in my projects.
06Trajectory
I started by building.
I joined Actuals.ai early, when the team was small enough that there wasn't much separation between building, figuring things out, and deciding what was worth building.
I worked on AI automation and analytics, built client pipelines, and worked with the founders to scope what we could actually ship.
Then I moved into HPE, where I got a much closer look at what happens once software is in production: infrastructure, technical constraints, customer impact, and what happens when things don't go as planned.
Now I want to bring both sides together: understanding how things are built, and deciding what should be built.

07About
Engineer → Product Thinker.
I’m curious about why some products just feel right.
I’ve always been drawn to the space between business and technology.
Understanding the problem. Seeing an opportunity. Thinking about how people behave. Then figuring out what technology can make possible.
Over time, I’ve become especially obsessed with the experience itself: why some products feel effortless, why some interactions feel satisfying, and why the best ones rarely make you think about the design behind them.
That’s the kind of product I want to spend my time building.
